Andrea Martinez

This multi-talented artist was born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. She is an actress, clown, dancer, stilt walker, mime, mask maker, acrobat, aerialist, and HQT teacher certified by the Education Department of P.R. She graduated cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, with a Bachelor's degree in Education and a minor in Theater Pedagogy. Andrea attended the Professional Training Program at the reputed Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre in Blue Lake, California. In 2014, she presented as an independent artist in the 11 Festival de Mimo y Teatro Fisico del Caribe. This same year, she produced the first edition of "One Minute Dance" in Puerto Rico. This event had the participation of more than 16 artists and included 45 performances in total. Andrea has been active as a dancer, actress and acrobat with various recognized groups such as the Traveling Theatre from the University of Puerto Rico, Mousha, and Acrobatic Gymnastics Competitive Group PR. Andrea is also a founding member of few performing arts groups such as: Circo de la Calle, Dance Theater Yerba Bruja, Borike, and National Circus of Puerto Rico.
